A Note From Our Founder
My name is Annie, and I founded Raboesy (pronounced ra-BO-zee) in 2023.
Long before Raboesy existed, I was searching for shoes that felt feminine, expressive and a little unexpected - pieces with character, but still easy enough to become part of everyday life.
I have always been drawn to independent fashion, vintage references and thoughtful design. I love the tension between softness and strength, nostalgia and modernity, beauty and individuality.
So I began creating the shoes I wanted to wear myself.
And that became the beginning of Raboesy.
Inspired by Ballet, Designed for Modern Femininity
Raboesy explores the balance between softness and character.
Inspired by ballet, vintage romance and modern femininity, our designs begin with familiar feminine silhouettes and reinterpret them through unexpected proportions, textures and details.
From delicate straps and softly structured shapes to expressive bows and our signature split-toe forms, each pair is designed to feel distinctive without losing its ease.
For us, femininity is not a definition to follow. It is something personal - expressive, instinctive and entirely your own.
Our Design Language
At the heart of Raboesy are three silhouettes we return to again and again: Mary Janes, ballerinas and Tabis.
Rather than constantly starting over, we allow these familiar forms to evolve from season to season through proportion, material and detail. Bows, split-toe forms, satin, delicate straps and recurring patterns form part of our visual language, reinterpreted each time through new textures, colors and moods. From polka dots and plaid to animal prints and beyond, these elements bring playfulness and contrast to our softer silhouettes.
We believe a recognizable design language is built through repetition - returning to the same ideas, refining them, and finding unexpected ways to make them feel new.
The result is footwear that feels familiar, but never quite expected.
